Actor Salman Khan has become the latest celebrity from B-town to join micro-blogging website Twitter.

Twitter is the favourite haunt of Bollywood stars like Shahrukh Khan, Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.

The 44-year-old actor has become it’s latest entrant and he joined the website on the advise of his brother Arbaaz Khan.

“Arbaaz ne kaha ke tweet kar toh banta hai boss (Arbaaz told me to tweet so I had to),” Salman wrote in his first tweet.

Within a few hours of him joining Twitter, Salman has gained 2,150 followers.

“Challo nw , who ever was being me , party over , baju hatto plz (sic),” Salman wrote in another post.

Salman was welcomed on the website by veteran actor Shammi Kapoor and Riteish Deshkmukh.

“Hello Salman bete. Welcome,” wrote Shammi Kapoor while Ritesih said, “Hey a big shout out to the best looking man, a super actor and a friend SALMAN KHAN @BeingSalmanKhan give him all the love tweeps.”

The rumor mills may have been churning out spiciest gossip linking Katrina Kaif with Ranbir Kapoor. But the netizens still feel it is Salman Khan with whom Katrina looks the best.

In a poll conducted by ApunKaChoice, 51 percent people voted in favour of Salman as opposed to 13 percent for Ranbir and 36 percent for Hrithik Roshan when asked whom would they like to see Katrina star with on screen.

Not just on their site, even in a poll conducted by MSN, Salman and Katrina were voted the “Hottest Bollywood couple of The decade” (with 36 percent of total votes), outshining out celeb couples like Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai (27 percent), John Abraham-Bipasha Basu (13 percent) and Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor (6 percent). Guess the fans aren’t yet done watching Kat-Sallu together.

Heartthrob of millions and Bollywood’s bad boy Salman Khan, has resumed blogging on Twitter. Much to the relief of many of his fans, the actor seems to have realized that it was not right to disconnect with his fans Salman had stopped tweeting because of the movie ‘Veer’ which did not bomb well on box office.

Salman sporting moustache in ‘Dabanng’? Salman finally seems to have moved on after ‘Veer’s’ failure on the box office. Sallu these days is busy shooting for his next film ‘Dabanng’.

Reportedly, Salman who is playing the role of a police officer in the movie would be sporting a moustache in the film. The film is directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan.
