Earlier, the reports stated that Lara Dutta was in plans to direct an independent film and had been working on the script for two years, adding that she had also taken several auditions for the cast. The film was said to go on floors in July.

But on the other hand, Lara Dutta is presently busy promoting her new film ‘Housefull’, which stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Arjun Rampal.

It is directed by ‘Heyy Baby’ director Sajid Khan. ‘Housefull’ is about a man named Aarush (Akshay Kumar), who gets caught in crazy situations all because he doesn’t wants to disclose that he has three wives. The film is slated for release on April 30.

Lara Dutta has been roped in to endorse Colgate, one of the leading toothpaste brands in India. Now, the much awaited ad is finally out.

The commercial has the gorgeous Lara playing the role of a TV reporter. Insiders say that Lara was quite unwell on the day before the shoot with high fever and food poisoning.

However, being the professional that she is, she stuck to her commitment for the shoot, despite the fact that it was a night shoot.

The most challenging part of the shoot was to get the transformation sequence right, where Lara quickly takes out her spectacles, wig and jacket to transform into the reporter.
