Vidya Balan Won’t Just Kiss Any Actor

Vidya’s new shoulder length hairdo has made her look breathtakingly glamorous. She seems to have suddenly stepped out of the Parineeta era into the contemporary world. But it’s just her new makeover that is western, not the pretty lady herself.

So if you read a recent report that she is ready to kiss on screen and were disappointed as a fan of hers or elated as a future co-star of hers, carefully listen to what she has to say.

“Someone misquoted me as saying that I will kiss any actor on screen. I never ever said such a thing!” she told.

But she defends her lip lock in Guru saying, “Here was a girl who was dying and here was a man who was breathing life into her…It was nothing less than a Osho moment!”

Manish Malhotra Apologized To Vidya Balan

Lately, Vidya Balan has earned a reputation for getting into controversies over refusal of roles or disagreeing with costume designers.

She had a huge problem with Aki Narula’s clothes while shooting for Ramesh Taurani’s film in Canada.

Says Vidya, “Such things happen. It’s not a big deal. I don’t know why the media went ballistic about it. Aki left the clothes and came away to India. I didn’t like some of the clothes because I felt that they didn’t go with the character. So, I went to shop on my own. That was fun.”

In Sajid Khan’s Heyy Babyy too Vidya received a lot of flak for her styling skills.

But this time her designer Manish Malhotra took the entire responsibility and even sent a message apologising for going wrong with her look in the film.

However Vidya holds no grudges. “The onus isn’t his alone. He sent me a very sweet message saying, ‘I’m sorry I messed up. I hope we get another opportunity.’ He needn’t have apologized. He got a lot of flak for my look. So did I. I accept the criticism as much as I accept all the praise that comes my way”

Vidya is sure she can break free of the sari mould to look Western. Her new shoulder length hairdo makes her look breathtakingly glamorous. She seems to have suddenly stepped out of the Parineeta era into the contemporary world.

She has also shed a lot of weight in the recent past as well.

“I think I had allowed things to drift. I should have looked after myself more. But it’s fine now. I am gyming a lot now and keeping as fit as a fiddle,” she tells with a broad smile.

Vidya Balan Fed Up Of Rumours

It’s become a tradition to link up Vidya Balan with her every male co-star.

First she was linked with John Abraham and now its Shahid Kapur. Denying the rumors, she says, “What are they talking about? I haven’t even been in touch with the people they are linking me up with. They are all wonderful people, but for God’s sake - an affair?

Just because I share a comfort level and good chemistry with a co-star n screen, does not mean anything. If I share a great camaraderie with Boman Irani, will I be linked with him as well? That wouldn’t make interesting news!

As long as the people who matter know the truth, I don’t care. Kuchh to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna….” she has few films in a line - ‘Halla Bol’, ‘Hey Baby’, an untitled film with Aziz Mirza and one more film with Priyadarshan.

Vidya Balan And Akshay Kumar To Team Up For Bhool Bhulaiya

T-Series has announced its new project ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’, which is a remake of Malayalam Super Hit ‘Manichithra Thazhu’. The movie is a comic thriller and stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Amisha Patel, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vineet, Asrani, Vikram Gokhale and Manoj Joshi. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film revolves around a small village/town where people are very conservative and superstitious. The 41-day Shooting Schedule is to begin this month in Jaipur.

Here You Go Again. Krrish 2 With Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan is becoming a much sought after star. It is now being reported that Rakesh Roshan’s Filmlkraft has signed her up for a role in Krrish 2. Krrish 2, announced in early September this year, will feature Hrithik Roshan in a double role, as the super hero and the super villain! Reports add that Roshan is leaving no stone unturned to make the third part bigger and better than the previous two and will again rope in foreign expertise for dare-devil stunts. If things go as planned then Vidya will be taking over from Preity Zinta ( Koi Mil Gaya ) and Priyanka Chopra (’Krrish’). The film is expected to go on the floors towards the end of 2007.
