Priyanka Chopra Proposes Harman For Marriage

They may be a low-profile couple, but nevertheless, Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja have never tried to hide their relationship.

While Priyanka is steadily climbing the popularity charts in Bollywood, Harman is being touted as one of the most promising debutants this year. And at such a stage of their careers, it came as a surprise to Harman when Priyanka recently popped the question.

Sources say the couple was in the company of friends when Priyanka suddenly proposed marriage to her boyfriend. However, Harman is not really prepared to tie the knot right now. He wants to stabilize as an actor before taking the plunge.

But whatever be their decision for now, there is no doubt that the pair is quite a cute one. They often drop in on each other’s film sets and chat over the phone during breaks in the shoot.

When Priyanka sustained minor injuries while doing action scenes for film “Drona”, Harman reportedly rushed to the sets. So hope this jodi enters wedlock soon.

Aishwarya Rai: No Hot Stuff!

Aishwarya Rai has turned down Karan’s Johar’s next film, saying she would feel uncomfortable doing the role she was offered, in which she is cast opposite not one but two guys -hubby Abhishek and John Abraham.

Her decision may be considered the aftermath of Dhoom 2 , in which her sexy, skimpy outfits and liplock with co-star Hrithik Roshan reportedly caused heartburn in the Bachchan household.

Being a married woman now, Ash is not game for such roles anymore.

Unwilling to play the role in Karan’s production, Ash reportedly had a very frank talk with Johar and explained her point of view to him.

There has been a cast reshuffle in Karan Johar ’s next production that will be directed by his assistant Tarun Mansukhani. The yet untitled movie was initially slated to star Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles. Ash had apparently said yes to the film after hearing the screenplay at first.

But she changed her mind after the script and her role in it was narrated to her in detail.

Karan says he respects Ash’s decision. So now Priyanka Chopra has been roped in to fill Ash’s place in the film. Priyanka has previously worked with Abhishek in Bluffmaster and she is also doing Drona with him.

As for Ash, she has no dearth of films with her hubby.

Priyanka Chopra Approached For Hollywood’s Film

Priyanka Chopra is being considered to play the female lead in Hollywood producer and former tennis player Ashok Amritraj’s film.

Ashok Amritraj heads the production company Hyde Park Entertainment. He is presently looking for an Indian actress for his next project, which will revolve around an Indian girl and an American man.

Amritraj has reportedly been in talks with Priyanka Chopra to act in the film. Rumours say he has handed over the film’s script to Priyanka.

The only problem may be that Amritraj wants to begin shooting his film in October this year. This may act as a bummer because Priyanka is most likely to be busy during that time of the year due to her prior commitments.

So, however clichéd it may sound but date problems may prevent Priyanka from doing Amritraj’s film. But it would be premature to jump to conclusions as Priyanka is said to be going through the film’s script and has yet to give her final word.

Priyanka Chopra’s First Birthday Bash

 

Come July 18 and Priyanka Chopra, the current flavour of Bollywood, turns 25 and this year, for the first time, she is planning to throw a party for her family and close friends.

This is the first time the actress is throwing a party on her birthday since she has joined Bollywood.

“That’s true. I’ve never had any kind of party ever since I came into this industry. Friends keep teasing me about it. I’m not a party person. Believe it or not, I’m shy of crowds. Also, the past few years have hardly given me reason to feel like celebrating,” says Priyanka, whose voice gets distant as she recalls her father’s serious illness.

“Yeah, I’m having a birthday party for the first time. Not a huge one. Just 40-50 close friends and family. That’s all.

“I can’t believe how much time has passed. I’m suddenly feeling old. Seriously. Professionally, I’ve no reason to complain. At home we’ve gone through some turbulent times. Hopefully, we’re out of it,” she said.

Priyanka’s brother Siddharth also turns a year older this week.

“My brother Siddharth celebrates his birthday on July 12 while my birthday is six days later,” Priyanka said.

So will there be a joint celebration for the Chopra siblings?

“I’d love to have one. But Siddharth is turning 18 and he wants to bring in his birthday in a big way with his friends. So he will have a big party of his own.”

Priyanka Chopra Finds Shahrukh Yummy!

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra says she is a big fan of actor Shah Rukh Khan because “he inspires you to give your best.”

Chopra played Khan’s girlfriend in her latest movie Don, which was released last month.

“He is just plain yummy,” Chopra told a movie magazine. “It took me a while to snap out of my fixation and treat him as a co-star.”

Khan “just inspires you to give your best,” she said. “Even now, after so many years, he seems to be just a regular guy doing his job.”

Don, about a mafia head who eludes the police, is a remake of the 1978 Bollywood classic which starred movie legend Amitabh Bachchan and beauty queen Zeenat Aman.

Chopra, 24, said she has been Khan’s fan since she saw him in the 1995 blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.

Khan, 41, is one of the biggest Bollywood heartthrobs of the past decade and one of the highest-paid actors in India’s movie world.

Certainly, He is one of the best actors in India.

Priyanka Chopra Takes The Title Of Sexiest Asian Woman of 2006

Priyanka Chopra has been voted The Sexiest Asian Woman of 2006, in a poll conducted by Eastern Eye, a weekly newspaper printed in the UK.

Other prominent Indian faces who have found their place in the top ten are Bipasha Basu, Aishwarya Rai, Mallika Sherawat, Riya Sen and Malaika Arora Khan.

When informed, Priyanka was apparently looking applauded. Sure beating Aishwarya Rai is always an overwhelming experience.

“It is really flattering that people think that way of me but it is a bit confusing as well because I don’t see myself that way. But I am very grateful and very glad.”

Surprisingly Ashwariya Rai, regarded as the most beautiful woman in the world is rated as third when it comes to oozing sex appeal, while the pouty Mallika Sherawat is placed at number four.

“Her combination of classical beauty and brains has massive sex appeal for Asian men,” said Hamant Verma, editor of Eastern Eye, of Chopra. “She is likely to continue the momentum gained from Krrish with roles in her forthcoming films Don, God Tussi Great Ho, Salaam-e-Ishq and Utthaan” he added.
