This surely will make her more popular out of India. Not to mention that she is already a big hot in India We just read a comment on askmen regarding Mallika Sherawat’s 78th position. Although Mallika Sherawat is not exactly a household name in America, she has steadily amassed a loyal and devoted following in her homeland of India. Mallika’s level of fame increased exponentially in 2003, when she delivered a sultry and thoroughly risque performance in the Bollywood hit Khwahish. In 2004, Mallika received a Zee Cine Award nomination for Best Actress for her role in Murder. It is also rumored that she was the first Indian woman to have been offered a spread within the pages of Playboy. Man On A Mission, Wanted To Kill Mallika Sherawat

Rajesh Dalal, A man wanted by the Delhi police in several cases of kidnapping, robbery and attempt to murder, confessed to have conspired to kill actor Mallika Sherawat.

He was arrested on Monday night from Sangli-Kolhapur highway and brought to Delhi. But as he was being tom-tommed before the press, Dalal shouted out that he wanted to kill Mallika Sherawat because of her disparaging remarks against the Jats.

“She has been exposing too much and bringing a bad name to the community. I had been planning to kill her for past some time,” he told.

However, according to police, this is just a cheap publicity stunt by Dalal “to divert attention from his cases.”

“He has nothing to do with Mallika and he is not even from Haryana that he should be offended by her alleged statements against the Jats,” says Neeraj Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Police.

On the other hand, Mallika seems unfazed by such threats.

“Death threats don’t scare me. However, I want to make one thing clear - it is not my intention to offend the sensibilities of my people. I respect our culture and traditions,” the actor said in a statement.

Sherawat added that she believed in the empowerment of women. “Every woman should have the ability to stand on her own feet, earn a living and excel in her chosen career, which is exactly what I am trying to do,” she said.

However her spokesperson Parul Gossain tells that her parents are very concerned for her considering beefing up her security.

Delhi Police brought Dalal to the capital yesterday. He, originally hails from Nangloi, had graduated in commerce from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana and started to crime in 1999, when he kidnapped his own estranged wife from her Paschim Vihar residence.

In 2005, Dalal was also involved in robbing Rs 9 lakh from a petrol pump manager at an Allahabad Bank in Paschim Vihar

So how old is Mallika Sherawat. 25, 35 or 45. It’s not so simple as it seems. Don’t guess. Raed further. Yet again another controversy has surfaced regarding Mallika Sherawat and this one concerns her age. The tabloids insist that she cannot be 25 years old as claimed by her mother. Instead, she could well be 35 years old.

A private TV channel even aired Sherawat’s group photo taken in way back 1995 when she was working as an airhostess. Records show her age then to be 24 years old!

Mallika, who celebrated a birthday earlier this week, is however amused by all the speculation.

Talking to a leading news channel, she joked, “You know something. I’m 45 and I have two grandkids. “ It’s just that about me there’s more misinformation than information. And surprisingly, they inflate all my positives and negatives. They inflate my ego, my success, my failure — and now they’ve inflated my age!”

Having earned rave reviews for her performance in Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Sherawat will be now seen as an ex-CIA agent in a movie ‘Dasavatharam’ with Kamal Hassan, where the actor himself plays a record-breaking ten roles!

Reveals Ravi Kumar, director of the movie, “Mallika agreed to do the movie even before she saw the script. She plays a bold, modern girl. It was a pleasure working with her as she would report every morning at seven on the dot.”

“But one had to be professional since Kamal himself would reach the sets around 2.30 -3 am everyday!

He would do his make-up for about five hours and by the time Mallika arrived he would be ready for the shot,” he adds.

So while her kitty is full of work why is she keeping a low profile these days?

“I really haven’t been keeping a low profile. I just think and believe that it is time for me to shut up and do some good work. I’ve blabbed enough,” she gushes.

Kamal Hassan With Mallika Sherawat In Dasavatharam

Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat is set to steam up the big screen playing an ex-CIA agent in a movie ‘Dasavatharam’ with veteran actor Kamal Hassan, where the actor himself plays a record-breaking ten roles!

Ravi Kumar, director of the movie said Sherawat agreed to do the movie even before she saw the script since she was very keen to work with Hassan.

“She plays a bold, modern girl. It was a pleasure working with her as she would report every morning at seven on the dot,” Kumar said.

“But one had to be professional since Kamal himself would reach the sets around 2.30 -3 am everyday!

He would do his make-up for about five hours and by the time Mallika arrived he would be ready for the shot,” he adds.

With a budget of around Rs 30 crore, the film has imported a make-up team headed by Michael Westmore from LA. Kamal has written the script, screenplay and dialogues of the film. Asin is also playing the female leads along with Mallika Sherawat.

“If there is Mallika, there have to be hot scenes,” he said when asked about the scenes between Hassan and Sherawat.

Sherawat also played an Indian princess in her latest movie The Myth with Hong Kong movie hero Jackie Chan.
