Jiah Khan: I Suffered Silently

Actress Jiah Khan has had enough. She hadn’t spoken a word when she was unceremoniously replaced with actor Genelia D’ Souza in the much hyped but flop movie Chance Pe Dance.

Shahid Kapoor, the male lead of the movie, had then made it clear that it was director Ken Ghosh’s directive to replace Jiah overnight. He had said, “It was totally his (Ken’s) decision (to replace Jiah). I was equally sad when I was told that Jiah was being replaced. I never really liked her being replaced like that but I could have done nothing about it.”

Ken confirmed later that it was his own decision but never really wanted to get into the details.

After the fiasco, Jiah immediately left for London. Now, for the first time, she has opened up on the matter. Speaking on the phone from London, she said, “I suffered silently when this happened (when Ken asked her to leave the sets). I was asking myself “why?” But I had no option when he (Ken) told me to leave even as the film was nearing completion. But I never questioned his decision and quietly walked away hoping that it will be the end of it,” she says. But it was not.

Stories started appearing about how every scene of Jiah’s was getting deleted frame by frame. “A film is like a marriage. When it breaks off it creates a lot of bad blood. But I decided not to go around saying things against anybody. It was not that I didn’t know what was being said about me. Still, I decided not to stoop so low,” Jiah says.

But as luck would have it, the film flopped at the box office. “I know that it has flopped. But even now I will be dignified in not uttering a bad word against him. But regarding working with him again, I really have to think harder,” she ends.

Priyanka Chopra At Twitter Headquarter

Priyanka Chopra, who has just crossed the 200,000 mark in Twitter followers, visited the headquarter of the micro-blogging website in San Francisco after being especially invited there.

Priyanka tweeted about her visit to the headquarter where she met Biz Stone, Twitter co-founder. “My day was really interesting because I was invited to Twitter headquarter in San Francisco! Had a great time. Thanks Biz and team for the wonderful hospitality,” she posted.

The 27-year-old, who has been shooting in United States for Sajid Nadiadwala’s “Anjaana Anjaani”, has already crossed the 200,000 mark as far as her followers on Twitter are concerned. At present, she leads the Bollywood bandwagon on the site with 202,240 followers and has left stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Shahid Kapoor far behind.

“Priyanka was in the US for her movie shoot. She had to drop by at a studio for the NDTV Indian of the Year programm and there she met theTwitter team. She was invited to the headquarter office in San Francisco since she is so popular among the Bollywood celebs on Twitter,” a source close to the actress said.

Abhishek Bachchan, one of the most sought after stars in Bollywood, washed dishes at the Golden Temple in Amritsar as part of his kar seva. At the Golden Temple, the actor did Kar Seva by cleaning up the temple premises and washing the dishes. According to tradition and belief, by doing manual work, it is a pure devotion to God. It is considered extremely sacred to help there.

Abhishek was in Amritsar with his sister Shweta Nanda. They visited three prominent gurdwaras. “Abhishek did some kar seva by cleaning up the premise, and washing the dishes at the ‘langar’ (in the Golden Temple). There were two other prominent gurdwaras that they visited,” Amitabh wrote on his blog. He is happy to see the religious side of his children.

“It is always such a joy to see children putting their minds to faith and devotion. Nothing would give me greater joy and nothing I believe could be better than their achievement in belief and prayer,” he added.

Abhishek, who visited Amritsar for the shooting of his reality show “Bingo”, also posted a message on his Twitter page saying: “Went to the Golden Temple at 3 in the morning. Did seva for about an hour, then just sat there listening to the kirtan.”

It seems like Love all equation for Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi is out in open. The duo were spotted together first time in public at the Filmfare awards over last weekend.

There has been a buzz about the relationship between Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi for a long time in bollywood but they had never confirmed the reports. Mahesh who is separated from his ex wife and model Shvetha Jaishankar also denied the reports.

Buzz about the two did the rounds as soon as she split with Dino Morea last year.

With Dino having moved on and getting serious about his old flame Nandita Mahtani, it appears that Lara, too, has decided to flaunt his.

Lara formerly dated model and actor Kelly Dorjee but after few years, she broke up with Kelly and mingled with Kelly’s best friend actor Dino Morea. Heartbroken Kelly cursed Dino for backstabbing him.

Talking about their relationship, a source told a daily said, “Bhupathi has now finally created a racket with a star as his arm candy. As his divorce with his former wife, model Swetha Jaishankar, has also come through, it is the beginning of a new game for him with Lara”.

Mugdha Godse Worked For 22 Hours Straight

The year 2009 couldn’t have been better for Mugdha Godse. Following on the heels of a successful debut, Mugdha recent film ‘All the Best’ which also coincidentally released during Diwali has been a raving success and her work in ‘Jail’ has been highly appreciated by the critics and the masses. No wonder the pretty actress is on a high!

Mugdha is already raring to go, and is busy completing the shoot for her next film, a horror flick called ‘Help’ opposite Bobby Deol.

Mugdha has been putting in a lot of effort for her role in this movie. She has also been working around the clock. Apparently Mugdha shot for 22 hours at a stretch for a promotional song for this movie, that’s almost a day!

Says a source, “Yes it is true, Mugdha worked for 22 hours straight. But she did not complaint even once. She was professional and was determined to complete the shoot on time.”

Well all we can say is that with such determination and dedication, this Marathi mulgi surely has the potential to be called the next top actress in B-town.
